• Set to debut in India in the beginning of 2025.
• Anticipated to utilize a 1.0-liter TSI gasoline engine.
Skoda has unveiled another sneak peek picture for its small SUV under four meters that will be introduced in India in early 2022. The photo shows a rectangular tail lamp, a sturdy rear bumper, and a glass house with a slight slope. Roof rails and prominent Skoda lettering can be observed on the boot door as well.
Our calculations suggest that this is the sneak peek image for the prototype car, whereas the final model will closely resemble the Kushaq SUV based on numerous spy photos. Indeed, the silhouette captured in the spy photos suggests a Kushaq-like appearance until the C-pillar, where the reduced length will be most noticeable.
Skoda’s third product for India will be part of its 2.0 programme. This launch is anticipated to be their biggest yet, as it is projected to significantly increase their market share to five per cent by 2030. In a logical manner, it will utilize the group’s 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which generates 114bhp/178Nm and can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.
When released, this vehicle will compete with the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Kia Sonet, and the Hyundai Venue.
